Cold Weather Makes Play Difficult for Echo U12 Boys
Game on 4/23/05, it was VERY cold, snow falling with 20 mph winds. Needless to say it wasn't pretty. The players were allowed to wear gloves and hats and were a bit disappointed that wind pants were not allowed.
We started out holding are own and ended the first half 3-1 but unfortunately were defeated 7-1 in the end and went home in some pretty quiet cars. The boys were definitely affected by the terrible weather conditions and just didn't seem to be able to shake it. Not much more to report, it's not anything we want to repeat that's for sure.
Better luck to come......
Echo U12 Boys Play Well in Opening Loss
The U12 Boys played their first game this past Saturday, April 16th. The weather was exceptionally nice for April and the game was a great challenge. The game ended in a 4-3 defeat but the boys played very, very well. Goals were scored by Josh Bachleda, Ryan Catalano and Dylan Gainey. Tyler Dean was an animal in the goalie box and stopped some unbelievable attempts on goal. It's good to see the team back together..
We really look forward to watching these young men play in this new league, meet new challenges and become even stronger.
GO ECHO!
