Jacob Turner, Chase Putrich & Griffin Hoffman scored for Echo. Griffin Hoffman and Jack Mader combined for the shutout in goal. Without a doubt, this was Echo's best game of the season. The entire team played exceptionally well and battled to a scoreless tie at halftime. In the second half, we came out fast and strong and controlled the rest of the game.
May 13 at Plainwell:

John Zappia scored both Echo goals. We bounced back very strong after the tough loss the day before. This was a really well-played game by both teams. It was nice to see everyone playing well and having fun, even in a loss, on Mother's Day!
May 12 at Newton Park:

John Zappia scored for Echo. We call this our "sleepwalking" game. Every team seems to have one game a season where they struggle. This was ours.
April 29 at Marshall:
U10 Boys Michiana Echo Gold 4
Marshall 3
Echo goals by John Zappia (3) and Griffin Hoffman. Echo jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first half and held on to lead 3-2 at the break. In the second half, both teams played hard and only allowed one more goal. We came home from Marshall with our first win of the season.
April 21 at Newton Park:

This was our first experience playing at Newton Park. And with another couple practices under our cleats, the team played better. We saw improvement in passing and defense.
April 14 at SW Michigan:

This was a tough game to start the season. After only practicing three times before the game because of weather, Echo struggled on the field. But there were moments. And plenty of time to improve.
