We would like the opportunity to share with you some news and information regarding the family of Bryan & Mychelle Stone.
The entire Stone family have been an integral part of our Echo soccer family. Bryan and Mychelle have both coached for Michiana Echo Soccer Club and Mychelle has served as our club administrator for years. Both of their boys, Takoda, 14, and Braxten, 8, are players with Echo. While continuing to coach, administrate and play for our soccer club, Bryan and the Stone family have been fighting cancer.
Mychelle in her own words:
“At this point we opted for a Hail Mary and got him approved for a new chemo pill that was just approved by the FDA in April. As we waited for those drugs to arrive he ended up back in the hospital.”
“We had a few heart to heart conversations with our oncologist and Bryan made the decision not to take the chemo pills. We are experimenting with some alternative treatments and have called in hospice to help Bryan control his pain.”
“These decisions have been very hard but we believe we have made the best decisions for our family. Bryan is home with us and is able to watch the kids play soccer and spend time with us everyday.”
“Thanks for sticking it out to read all of this and thank you for your continued prayers. “We are not God and we do not know how much time we have together but we intend to spend what we have living life and loving each other.”
To help our dear friends and give them our support, Echo has created special training shirts to honor the Stone Family. This is a fundraiser where all proceeds go to the Stone family.
Price of the shirts are $10.00/short sleeve, $15.00/long sleeve. XXL is an extra $2. Pre-orders will happen at the Echo fields at HTP on September 6th and 7th. Cash or check payable to Michiana Echo Soccer Club.
